Primary Image created a series of websites, commissioned by an IT services company, for a local authority backed organisation in North London.
The organisation was setup to link the business community with local boroughs, with its aim to encourage inward investment and promote business news in the area.
The websites we designed covered the Haringey, Waltham Forest and Tottenham areas.
The core design was specified by the North London Business organisation, which we built in WordPress. The project was done on a build-only basis, so once we had completed the websites, the day-to-day management was taken over by our client (an IT company based in North London).
The previous websites used by North London Business had become very dated and were prone to errors. By moving the client to WordPress software, it meant they had a well supported website and access to an easy-to-use website editor.
Each website included news and events listings, as well as the ability for the client to edit and create new contact forms themselves.
We imported a large number of news articles into the websites, so none of their news archives were lost.
At the time, the websites were our first to use the new HTML5 standard, which nowadays is widely adopted.
