Christmas flyer designWriting this blog post on one of the hottest days of the year, you could easily think I’m going mad! However, this is exactly the right time that restaurants, hotels, venue hire facilities, shops and many other services need to start thinking about their Christmas 2014 and New Year marketing.

Getting your Christmas 2014 graphic designs ready

  1. Consider what offers you’ll be planning for this December 2014 and what events you’ll be running, including the prices.
  2. Get your design work commissioned, allowing a few days for it to be created and for any revisions to be completed.
  3. Order your Christmas flyers, leaflets, brochures, banner / pull-up stands or any other marketing products that will promote your Christmas services.

How early should you start marketing Christmas promotions?

Well, last year I spotted Christmas flyers being handed out at a casino in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, at the end of June.

Surprisingly, this year I managed to beat that by seeing Christmas promotions being advertised at the beginning of June (over half a year before Christmas Day!), which was at The Beerkeller / Shooter Sports Bar in Liverpool (see this poster below).

Then, just a few days later, this was being advertised on the Revolution Bars website and, despite the World Cup only days away, they decided to give Christmas their top banner slot!
